You don't need to know where to start. You don't need the right words. Just bring everything with you, and we'll go from there, together.

Current

Most people come in carrying one of these. Some are carrying several.

Aging & Life Changes

Some changes are chosen. Others arrive without permission.

- retirement, or a big move

- an unexpected diagnosis

- a financial change you didn’t see coming

- adjusting to a change you didn’t choose

- the fear of being alone — traveling, aging, or facing what’s ahead on your own

Family

When it’s complicated, and you’re trying to make sense of it.

- an adult child who’s gone no-contact

- a parent you could never quite reach

- conflict that doesn’t resolve

- boundaries that are hard to set or hold

- a household remade by remarriage, or by raising grandchildren

Loss

Some of it is recent. Some of it has been sitting with you for a long time.

- a spouse, a friend, a pet

- a divorce, or the end of a long-term relationship

- a job, or a role you held for decades

- loss of physical abilities

- a distant loss you never fully grieved

Someone Else's Needs

A quiet kind of overwhelm.

- a parent’s decline

- a partner’s illness

- the grief that starts before the loss does

- being the one who manages it all

- helping from a distance — the calls, the bills, the coordinating

Not sure which fits? That’s common — just bring it all with you.

What you’re feeling is common — and it has a reason, and a name.

People often seek counseling when something has become more difficult to manage the same way. Sometimes there’s a clear reason. Other times there’s no single event — life simply feels heavier than it used to, and the ways you’ve always pushed through are no longer enough.

Low moods that stay too long. Worry that won’t give you a break. Sleep that comes apart. Grief, recent or long-held. Exhaustion that won’t budge. Irritability you can’t explain. You may not have the words for it yet — you just know it doesn’t feel good.

Counseling here is individual, one-on-one clinical work. We start with what is current: what’s happening now, what’s been building underneath the surface, and what it’s costing you — your physical, emotional, and psychological health, your days, your nights, your joy. You don’t need to be in crisis to begin. It’s enough to know that something needs attention now.

Clinical

Studio

From the first call to the last session.

It starts with a free phone consultation — 15 minutes, before anything goes on the calendar. The call works both ways: you decide whether I’m the right fit for you, and I make sure this practice can provide what you need. If it can’t, I’ll say so and point you toward other options.

Your first appointment is a full 90-minute assessment. The length is deliberate — it gives us enough time to discuss what’s happening now, where it began, and what matters most to you, so the work starts on solid ground.

From there, regular sessions begin. The direction is yours — you set the priorities and goals. The expertise is mine — I bring the clinical process and the guidance. The work is ours — we start together, work through the middle together, and finish together.

Request a Free Consultation

Every new client starts with a free 15-minute phone consultation — nothing goes on the calendar until after we've talked, and you decide whether to schedule a first appointment.

Complete this form, and I'll call you back — usually within 1-2 business days. If the timing works when you answer, we can hold the consultation right then, or set a time that suits you better.

Counseling available to adults located in the state of Texas only.
